Lake Chapala, Mexico
A Beautiful Enchanting Area to Retire to - in The Heart of Mexico!

Many English speaking retirees (15,000 in Ajijic alone) are making their dreams come true by retiring to the Lake Chapala area. The north shore of Lake Chapala includes Jocotepec, San Juan Cosala, Ajijic, San Antonio Tlayacapan, Riberas del Pilar, Chapala, and Vista del Lago. Each of these villages centers around the town plaza where children play, couples stroll around the square holding hands, women sell their wares and men sit and talk.

Lake Chapala is Mexico's largest fresh water lake stretching 50 miles from end to end and 13 miles across. Climate: Because you are a mile high and inland, you have cool nights, warm days and spectacular sunsets. Daytime highs range from 75°F, nights seldom fall below 57°F, except in December and January when it can dip down to 45°F. May is our hottest month with temperatures running about 84°F with no humidity. The days are usually sunny. The rainy season runs from June until Oct. with rains usually falling at night. We do have wonderful thunderstorms which are beautiful to watch. We do not have hurricanes although we may have a few hazy days with some rainfall in the day during the hurricane season. Sunny days nearly all year round, no humidity, rainfall only at night (well, almost only at night) - it's Paradise.

According to the International Living Magazine, AARP, magazine the fantastic climate, considered to be one of the best in the world, an international English-speaking community, the tranquility of picturesque Mexican villages, the beauty of Lake Chapala and the Sierra Madre mountains, the friendly people, the inexpensive cost of living (including having a maid and gardener if you wish )and the relatively inexpensive real estate market have made this area one of the most sought after places to retire in Mexico.

The Guadalajara International airport is only 35 minutes away and the city of Guadalajara is only 15 minutes further. Guadalajara has all of the amenities of any large city, wonderful museums, and art galleries, an opera company and symphony, movie theaters showing first run movies, world-class restaurants, as well as shopping centers . You will also find a Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Costco, Home Depot, and many other well known stores, plus the arts).

If you need information on retiring or a change of lifestyle, buying a second home, or investing in a year-round home in a relaxed, warm and friendly Mexican atmosphere that has modern advantages, contact me! My goal is to help you in every way possible.
